Higher Education & Careers Guidance

CSS’s Higher Education & Careers Guidance Team works closely with the Upper School Team to guide students in their career aspirations and applications to a wide variety of universities and other educational destinations.  Our experience with tertiary education systems both in Hong Kong and around the world ensures individual support is provided to assist students in attaining their post-CSS goals.

Our graduates in recent years have achieved good results in both diplomas and have successfully entered renowned universities in Hong Kong as well as overseas. These include:

  • University of Hong Kong

  • Chinese University of Hong Kong

  • University of Science & Technology

  • Oxford University

  • Imperial College

  • University College London

  • King’s College London

  • Manchester

  • Bristol

  • Birmingham

  • Edinburgh and many other UK Universities

A large number of graduates also went to universities in other countries including the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

Careers and University Guidance Framewor

CSS places great emphasis on guiding students to plan for their tertiary education and careers pathways, particularly from Form 4.

A framework is designed and implemented to prepare students to better understand for themselves in order to plan and be prepared for different career options. The framework is based on the above cycle, which is supported by House Tutors and the Higher Education and Careers Guidance Team.

Students have opportunities to explore their own passion and strengths, and learn about various tertiary education institutions in Hong Kong and beyond. Specific workshops are arranged for students including university applications, interviews, in addition to sharing by alumni and other members of the community.

One of the key highlights is the annual University Fair where many local and overseas tertiary education institutions come to our school and our students and parents could learn a from the representatives from those institutions and the courses that they offer.
