On the 30th of October, 2020, Alastair (Student Union) helped organise and host a dress casual day for the Community Chest of Hong Kong & The HK Breast Cancer Foundation. As October is the month for breast cancer awareness, students were encouraged to come to school in pink, as pink is a universal sign of support for breast cancer awareness.
In addition to the dress casual day, Alastair set up a booth in the morning to sell pink ribbons to students and staff, who could wear them to show their support whilst also contributing donations directly to the HK Breast Cancer Foundation.
In the end, we were able to raise a total of $6759.75 HKD and $6148.25 HKD in donations to the Community Chest of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation respectively. We are incredibly proud of the turnout for this event and look forward to seeing students and the rest of Creative Secondary School continue to contribute back to the community.
