Spotlight on Creativity: Form 6 HL Theatre Students Triumph in Collaborative Theatre Project!

The Drama Department would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to the Form 6 HL Theatre students on successfully completing their Collaborative Theatre Project!!

This project has long been a highly anticipated and cherished event within HL Theatre class every year, and this year was no exception. The students' dedication and creativity truly shone through as they devised captivating 10-minute performances from scratch. Bear in mind that this is one of the assessments in the IBDP exams, but students really took this opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity. In this project, students choose their own starting points to allow for a diverse range of thought-provoking themes to be explored.

One group, consisting of Vicente, Skylar, Ellia, Katrina, Asia, and Yvonne, captured the pessimistic worldview of the media and its dehumanizing effect on marginalized groups through a naturalistic dark comedy. Another group, comprising Abbey, Winghim, John, and Kerrie, delved into the profound impact of childhood experiences on shaping one's character.

The performances were a resounding success, with friends, families, and teachers gathering to witness the students' incredible achievements. Overall, the Form 6 HL Theatre students displayed immense creativity, teamwork, and dedication throughout their Collaborative Theatre Project.

Their performances were a testament to their artistic abilities and their commitment to the craft of theatre. Congratulations once again on a job well done!
