About a total of one hundred student leaders from Law Ting Pong Secondary School and Creative Secondary School took part in the “Youthnity” programme, a student-led conference jointly organised by the two schools, that aims to raise their awareness about environmental protection on 2 July 2020.
On the first day of the 5-day “Youthnity 2020”, Principals from the two schools gave their short welcoming speeches in an opening ceremony. They hoped all students would understand more about protecting our environment and the world. Later on, students attended a talk given by Professor Daniel Ho of the THEi, who shared about his knowledge of pollution and urban development. Then students participated in workshops provided by non-governmental organisations to learn about making soap and beeswax food wrapping cloth.
In the coming four days, the student leaders will continue to exchange their ideas through discussions and forums. We would also take this opportunity to thank the Home Affairs Department for partly sponsoring this event.
