Our Sincere Thanks for Supporting Us in All Our Endeavours- Creative Showcase 2022 (Open Day)

After two years of the pandemic, the Creative Showcase 2022 (Open Day) was finally back for the CSS community. Over 2,200 people joined our Open Day on Saturday, 5 November 2022.

It was amazing to have the whole community and families come together and meet all our parents, family members and students having the opportunity to share the learning that goes on in the classroom and get a glance at what we do every day.

Throughout the entire day, there were lots of interesting but rewarding sessions. Followed by our school supervisor, Mr. Victor Fong giving his welcoming speech, our Guest of Honour, Mr. Henry Tong Sau-chai, MH, JP (湯修齊先生), officiated the opening of a number of new facilities for the school. These included Visual Art and the CLACH Room, the STEAM Education Suite, and the well-equipped gymnasium and bouldering wall. He also addressed our students and parents regarding the importance of STEAM education, Chinese culture and finding an equilibrium between different aspects of our lives—intellectual, physical, and emotional.

It was wonderful to see so many students, parents, teachers, staff and alumni at the Open Day. All of them enjoyed the mixture of informative faculty booths, presentations, school tours led by our senior students, student-led interactive and fun game charity booths artwork including visual arts and Design Technology work displays, live music and drama performances by our students and staff.

We would most like to thank all our inspiring supporters who came to see the above stakeholders shine. Our parents and visitors cheered us on, laughed at our jokes and sang along with our performances.

Last but not least, we must recognise the amazing work of our students and staff who had worked tirelessly to make this successful event happen.

We hope you enjoyed your day with us and found it valuable, and left with a greater understanding of why we believe we are helping students ‘to find their places in the world.’
