Admissions Applications for 2026-2027 School Year (Form 1)

 

The 1st stage of admissions for Form 1 is not yet open. Prospective applicants are invited to submit an online application within the application period below. The admissions office will be in touch with prospective parents and students shortly after receiving the application. Interviews will be offered to those who meet our admissions criteria. If applicants do not hear from us within two months regarding an interview invitation, their applications will be considered unsuccessful. The school reserves the right to grant admission interviews at its discretion.

Eligibility to Apply

  • Completion of local primary 6 schooling, overseas primary education, an IBPYP course or an equivalent primary school curriculum.

  • Exceptional cases with specific reference to mid-year transfers will be considered on a case by case basis.

  • Placement is not dependent upon age or number of years of school experience.

  • Note: CSS is a DSS school that follows the Hong Kong Junior Curriculum with the MYP framework. Only Non-Chinese speaking students are eligible to enroll in Chinese LA courses at CSS. The final decision will follow the guidelines provided by the Education Bureau (EDB) , with the EDB making the final determination. Student’s language profile - Home language, family background are the key decision factors. For more information, please refer to the EDB document.

 

Application Procedures

  • Applicants should submit an online application to our school, together with the following documents:

    • A recent digitized photo of the applicant.

    • Applicant’s Hong Kong Identity Card / Birth Certificate / passport / study visa (in case of non-local applicants, a copy of student’s passport or other travel document with a copy of his/her personal details are also required.).

    • Primary 6 Student Record Form issued by the Education Bureau (if any).

    • Applicant’s school assessment reports in the past two years.

    • Certificates of awards, such as art, music, sports, etc (if any).

    • Other supporting documents, such as recommendation / reference letters from previous school or other organizations (if any). 

    • Relevant medical report issued by doctors / psychologists (if any).​

 

Evaluation Criteria

The offer of a school place depends on a holistic evaluation of the applicant’s readiness to study at CSS, based on a study of the followings:

  • The applicant’s primary school assessment reports. 

  • Outstanding scholastic achievements (grade B (incl. B-/B+) or above in English, Chinese, Mathematics & General Studies)

  • Grade B or above in conduct in the second term in Primary 4 as well as all terms in Primary 5  (if any). 

  • Good comments from class teacher  (if any)

  • Recommendation / reference letters (if any).

  • The applicant’s performance in his/her admissions interview.
