Admissions to Secondary 1
A core belief of our school is that each student is unique and that it is our mission to foster each student's potential to the full. The school's admission principle and the curriculum we offer reflect this belief.
A. Eligibility to apply
a) Completion of local primary 6 schooling, overseas primary education, an IBPYP course or an equivalent primary school curriculum.
b) Exceptional cases with specific reference to mid-year transfers will be considered on a case by case basis.
c) Placement is not dependent upon age or number of years of school experience.
B. Evaluation Process
The offer of a school place is dependent on a holistic evaluation of the student’s readiness to study at CSS, based on a study of:
a) The applicant’s primary school reports (two years prior to admission).
b) The reference/recommendation, if available, from the Principal of the primary school.
c) The applicant’s personal portfolio containing the applicant’s personal growth profile, achievements and related certificates (a maximum of 5 x A4 sheets, not counting the certificates).
d) The student’s performance in CSS benchmark English, Chinese and Mathematics assessment tests.
e) The student’s performance in his/her admission interview.
