On 5 September, a group of 40 students and teachers watched the original Cantonese opera performance "Doctor Zhang Ji" at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The performance of the actors’ singling and martial arts performances were very impressive. The theme of respecting life and environmental protection against epidemics was very clear and prominent, and our S.5 students, who were first-time Cantonese opera watchers, benefited a lot from the performance. They were also inspired by Zhang Ji's "Treatise on Typhoid and Cold Diseases" to explore the history of epidemics at different times.
