On the evening of 12 December 2025, Creative Schools Continuum celebrated a major milestone by hosting a Joint Anniversary Gala Dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East. The event honoured the 40th anniversaries of Creative Primary School (CPS) and Creative Primary School’s Kindergarten (CPSKG), while also looking ahead to the 20th anniversary of Creative Secondary School (CSS) in 2026.

The gathering brought together students, parents, alumni, staff, and friends from the Creative Schools Continuum community to celebrate the journey of our education. Early in the evening, guests signed in and had their photos taken against a beautiful Art Deco-style backdrop. Familiar faces reunited in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The gala dinner, hosted by alumni Timothy Lau and Connie Lee, began at 7:30 p.m. on a sombre note with a minute of silence for the victims of the recent Tai Po fire. In the welcome speech delivered by the School Supervisor, Mr Victor Fong, he announced that the Sponsoring Bodies of our schools have jointly decided to donate, in the name of the Creative Schools Continuum community, HK$200,000 to the Hong Kong Government's Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court to help the affected families on their pathway to recovery.

A Celebration of History and Continuity

The programme started with a combined performance of African and Chinese drums. This was followed by singing of the school song and showing of a commemorative video that evoked fond memories of the past, in which students and alumni expressed their heartfelt affection and warm congratulations on the anniversary.

After Mr. Victor Fong's welcome speech, School Board Chairman Mr. Fong Hup and Principals Stephen Hindes, Clio Chan, Bonnie Cheng, and Ann Ng congratulated the community. They thanked the guests, staff, alumni, parents, and performers for their ongoing support and dedication, and expressed optimism for the future.

Performances Connect Past and Present

The evening was also enlivened by wonderful performances jointly presented by students, teachers, and alumni from the three schools. After months of rehearsal, they delivered spectacular acts that showcased the talent and creativity of the Creative Schools Continuum community.

All performances connected the past, present, and future through music. The CSS Orchestra and alumni performances evoked nostalgia and affection for the school, while the CPS chorus filled the banquet hall with hope and collective spirit. The finale, "We Are the World," powerfully united the entire Creative family, embodying a true "one world, one dream" spirit.

The gala also featured an interactive game called the "Creative Trivia Challenge." Using online questions about the schools' history and the principals' childhood photos, the game sparked lively conversations as alumni, students and teachers shared knowledge and memories of the schools to answer the quiz. The activity created a warm atmosphere of friendship and shared nostalgia.

A Forward-Looking Wish

This Joint Anniversary Gala Dinner was not only a celebration of the Creative Schools Continuum’s journey and accomplishments, but also a shared step toward our educational endeavour. Moving forward, may our Creative spirit, with its core values of care, connection, and enduring commitment, continue to inspire us.
