Creative Week  aims to nurture CSS Attributes by providing all CSS learners with the opportunity to engage in new and challenging experiential learning activities. This initiative encourages our students to apply the skills acquired in the classroom to real-world situations. Through a centralized time period and a concentrated programme, participants explore, learn, and reflect on their experiences, aspiring to achieve greater heights in their individual accomplishments.

This year’s Creative Week in March 2025 offered a diverse range of learning experiences, empowering MY1 to Form 5 students to build resilience, embrace challenges, and engage deeply with different communities in Hong Kong and beyond.

MY1 and Form 1 students sharpened their teamwork and leadership skills in the Adventure Programme, while Form 2 students focused on exploring Chinese cultures with interactive taster workshops in Xian, Beijing and Yangshou. Form 3 - 5 students indulged themselves in the awe-inspiring natural environment, service learning activities, technology observation, and school visits in Iceland, Okinawa, Sichuan, Vietnam, Hokkaido and Spain. On top of that, students in Hong Kong developed a deeper understanding of Hong Kong through the Hong Kong Cultural Programme as well as the Service and Adventure Programme. On-campus programmes students learnt and taught new skills through research with self-discovery!

Through these experiences, students demonstrated increased self-management, communication, collaboration and empathy with an increased sense of  becoming responsible global citizens.

To consolidate students’ learning in Creative Week, in the Creative Week Learning Showcase 2024/25, students presented their learning takeaways through different interactive means, including but not limited to poster boards and art pieces presentations. During the preparation, they explored their talents and reflected on what they could improve. As key community members, parents joined the Showcase and celebrated the learning success with their child.

We are glad to observe students stretching their talents, demonstrating grit, sparking curiosity and showing respect for others. We will strive to provide meaningful learning programmes for students to explore, enjoy, and engage in for the holistic character formation.
