Shrek Jr. The Musical Review - Where Differences Make Us Stronger

Live theatre returned to Creative Secondary School in the most magical way this past December. On the 17th and 18th of December, over 200 students and teachers brought Shrek Jr. The Musical to life, celebrating our 20th anniversary with an unforgettable production that left audiences hearts full.

42 cast members poured their hearts into this show through months of auditions, rehearsals, and performances. Their commitment and passion were evident in every scene, every song, and every moment on stage. Behind the scenes, student-led teams brought creativity to every detail, ensuring that each element of the production came together beautifully. Our Vocal Ensemble, Orchestra, and Band also created the vibrant soundscape that transported audiences to the swamp and brought the beloved story to life.

For many of our students, this was their first time performing on stage. Watching them step forward, take risks, and grow alongside their teachers has been truly inspiring. The courage they found, the friendships they formed, and the lessons they learned will stay with them long after the final curtain call. These young performers discovered not only their artistic spark but also their capacity for collaboration, perseverance, and self-expression.

The curtain has closed, but the message lives on —— embrace who you are, because that's where the real adventure begins. The memories created during this production, the bonds formed, and the confidence gained will remain with our performers and crew members for years to come.
