Required:

1. Assistant Teacher / Teaching Assistant of Learning Support / SEN

Responsibility

Reporting to the Learning Support Coordinator, the key responsibilities of the Assistant Teacher/ Teaching Assistant of Learning Support include:

  • Providing academic support to students with special learning needs after class

  • Accompanying and supporting students with special learning needs to participate in other school activities

  • Improving the school's Learning Support team and its provision of a range of strategies and resources

  • Handling the administration of the school's Special Needs Register, and the managing of external consultants and agencies' services & budget

This is a position for which the following are essential:

  • Bachelor's degree or above

  • Caring, patient, and have experience working with students with special educational needs, non-Chinese speaking students, and/or in secondary schools

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient in computer operations, able to effectively input and work with Chinese and English text

  • For Assistant Teacher Post, holding a ‘Pass’ in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (BLNST) by the commencement of employment

This is a position for which the following are preferred:

  • A recognised bachelor degree and or teaching qualification i.e. PGDE or equivalent

  • Recognized qualification for Special Education Needs

  • Willingness to co-teach with core subject teachers

  • Experience with small-group interventions
