Guest of Honour, Chairman of the Board of Directors, School Supervisor, Principal, Assistant Principals, teachers, parents and fellow students,

It’s surreal standing here right now – not just because I never thought I’d be giving this speech, but because it means this chapter of our lives is actually drawing a close.. And endings, no matter how well you see them coming, always feel a little strange.

How do you sum up something that’s been part of your life for so long? We’ve spent years together – not merely learning maths or writing essays, but growing up. Slowly, quietly, and sometimes even dramatically.

We’ve lived through early mornings, conquered late-night study marathons, long assemblies and of course, running to the gate at 8:14 am, breathlessly tapping our cards

just in time.

But through the years we’ve also found our people. We’ve laughed until we couldn’t breathe, supported each other through heartbreaks and headaches, stood side by side during sports days, and musicals. We’ve built memories not because they were part of the curriculum, but because they were ours.

Today, we celebrate not just our achievements, but the initiatives that have transformed our community. We introduced free menstrual care products, ensuring that everyone has access to essential health resources. Created vibrant social media accounts, fostering connection and school spirit. We painted murals that brought our campus to life. We took bold risks empowering each other to explore new passions. Through these efforts, we have genuinely poured our hearts into making CSS a thriving environment—one where we can serve, and find our place in the world.

High school wasn’t perfect, it was something far more valuable. It was real. A chaotic blur of lessons, late-night fights with the deadlines, surprises, and second chances. And somehow, through it all, we became something bigger than a class. We became us.

And we didn’t get here alone. There were remarkable people guiding us, cheering us on, and sometimes dragging us forward when we didn’t think we could keep going.

To our teachers – thank you. Not just for what you taught us, But for how you taught us: with unwavering patience, genuine care, and the quiet powerful belief that we were capable of greatness, even when we weren’t so sure ourselves.

To our families – thank you for being our constant. For standing beside us when we were unsure, stressed, or just admittedly not particularly pleasant to be around. Your love and support have been our anchor and wings..

And to my fellow classmates – you’ve been my favourite part of this journey. You’ve transformed school from something bearable to simply unforgettable.  Each one of you brought something unique to this experience – a spark, a joke, a story, a challenge. Together, we made something we can all be proud of.

As we step beyond this hall for the final time– not as students, but as graduates – I hope we remember that success isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s quietly choosing to be kind when it’s easier to be indifferent. Sometimes it’s standing up for what’s right, even when you’re standing alone. Sometimes it’s just showing up – fully, bravely, honestly. So whatever adventures await us next – take the leap. Even if you’re scared. Especially if you’re scared. Because if we’ve made it this far, we’re already capable of more than we think.

What started out as a leap of faith turned into a journey into the history books. We did everything together and I’m so, so grateful to everyone. This may not be the history books, but it’s our story. A chapter that will always matter, because we wrote it together, word by word, memory by memory. And while we’ll each go on to write the next chapters of our lives – in different places, with different people, – this one – this shared journey – is something no one can take away from us.

Thank you, class of 2025 – for the memories, the moments, and the meaning.

I’ll miss this. And I’ll miss all of you.

Congratulations – and may your futures be as bright and beautiful as the legacy you leave behind.
