2025/26 Form 6 Graduation Ceremony Sharing by Student Representatives 2026-6-5

Guest of Honour, Chairman of the Board of Directors, School Supervisor, Principal, Assistant Principals, teachers, parents, and fellow students, I am Simran, a DSE graduate.

It feels so surreal because I’ve imagined this moment so many times. The same school hall, same houses, the same faces I’ve seen for years, and yet nothing feels the same at all. We are sitting here as graduates, our one last time sitting in this school hall as CSS students.

Secondary school life has been a rollercoaster ride. Cheerleading with our housemates; Spending hours to create our Halloween costumes; Performing in the Creative Chinese Festival, Winter Arts Showcase, the musicals (Shrek & Grease); Going abroad during Creative Week made secondary school life memorable, and we will never forget.

High school wasn’t perfect. We all know that some days were awful, like studying until 1 am in the morning, working hard on exams, and regretting that we didn’t study earlier. Luckily, we have supportive people around us who make our lives easier.

First and foremost, I want to say thanks to our teachers. Thank you for not giving up on us when we went from finding X to no longer knowing what X means. Thank you for allowing us to unleash creativity, even though you regretted it a minute later after seeing our unhinged ideas. Thank you for supporting us all these years.

I would also like to say thank you to our principal, Mr Stephen Hindes, for all the motivational yet humorous quotes during assemblies. I also want to thank former principals for giving their best to make our school life better.

House Tutors, thank you for your constant support during tutor time and PGP sessions. I know we are quite annoying sometimes, but thank you for keeping us on track and giving us your support.

Furthermore, I also want to say thank you to our beloved Family. No matter if it’s raining or storming outside, our family is always beside us. Thank you for being the one whom we could always count on. For staying close when we were lost or overwhelmed, for holding us down when we needed stability.

As our former acting principal, Ms Lancy Tam once said, “At CSS, we learn to grow. We learn to grow as people, like the tree on our emblem. We learn that every single one of us is talented in our own way. It shows that thriving doesn’t mean being the best at everything, but rather finding and chasing challenges in what we love to do and having the courage to go after them. Just like what our school motto states, “Through this place we thrive, we serve and find our place in the world.”

As our school bell rang for the last time, Class of 2026, it has been my privilege to grow with you all. Thank you so much for the laughter, for the memories we have created, for everything we have experienced together. I will definitely miss you all! May your future be as gorgeous as the memories we made here. Thank You.
