As the Year of the Horse approaches, CSS came together on 12 February 2026 for our annual Creative Chinese Festival, a day to immerse in the spirit of Lunar New Year through hands-on exploration of traditional handicrafts, sports, and festive customs.
Today, the whole school wore red and gold to share in the Spring Festival cheer. Students explored Chinese knots, lion heads, and floral displays, and joined tug-of-war and Zhuang board shoe races. We also had a spectacular Chinese New Year assembly in the school hall, featuring the Form 1 Dragon Dance Competition, staff dragon dance performances, and performances of Chinese New Year songs.
Moreover, the day would not have been complete without students from our Hangzhou sister school. They joined us to present a fantastic show and took part in cultural workshops throughout the afternoon, strengthening the bonds between our two communities.

As we ride into the Year of the Horse, CSS wishes everyone a spring of strength and harmony!
