On 21 September, our Form 5 & 6 Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) students attended a site visit to the TKO Desalination Plant. The Design, Build and Operate First Stage of Tseung Kwan Desalination Plant (TKODP) offers a visionary and sustainable solution to the challenges brought by climate change. It provides significant opportunities to raise awareness of sustainable use of freshwater resources and for the public to remain conscious of our responsibilities to the environment. The visit gave our students a better understanding of the sustainable development of Hong Kong by exploring innovative solutions to cope with future water challenges and to ensure a reliable supply for future generations.
