On Friday, 4 November 2022, our F5 and 6 Environmental Systems and Societies students visited Fuqin Dragon fruit eco farm. They learnt about the importance of organic farming and how to identify authentic organic farm produce in Hong Kong. The trip provided an opportunity for the students to learn to sustainable mixed farming practices such as composting, biological pest control methods and sustainable water use. Moreover, they enjoyed the ‘cute’ wildlife to a considerable extent, which had incentivised them to more actively engage themselves with the activity.
