Janice and Henri, students from Form 5 Cassia and Form 5 Bombax respectively, did a sharing about Sports Day. They first praised everyone’s effort on Day 1, then they talked about cheerleading and stated the important qualities of Sportsmanship.

Written by Janice CHEUNG (Form 5) and Henri LI (Form 5)
Janice: Good morning, Principal, Assistant Principals, teachers, and our fellow students. I am Janice from Form 5 Cassia, Cassia’s house captain.
Henri: I am Henri from F5 Bombax, Bombax’s House Captain.
Janice: It is a privilege to be up here, representing the voice of our House Captains. And Henri, while we may be friends up here, on the track, it's all about friendly rivalry!
Henri: That’s right, Janice, it's all about fighting for the win, while still being civil about it, of course.
Janice: Tomorrow will be the final day of our annual sports day. Are you all ready for it?
Henri: Surely I am!
Janice: Let's start by giving a huge congratulations to everyone who won their events on the first day! But it isn't just about winning—it's about the spirit you all showed. Whether you won or not, your participation truly matters to your house. For every single person who gave their best, contributed to the events, and most importantly, enjoyed themselves out there. Your energy and effort are what make Sports Day so special.
Henri: To everyone representing your house tomorrow: this is your time to shine and to show off your talents. As you step onto the track, into the pit, or into the field, keep in mind that you’re not just competing for yourself—you’re carrying the hopes and spirit of your whole house with you. Dig deeper than ever before, push harder than you thought you could, and give it your all on the field. Your house is relying on you, and we’re all here cheering for you. Go out there, make us proud, and bring home that victory.
Janice: Other than that, there is also something that all house committee members and the Form 2’s have been waiting for - CHEERLEADING. All the Form 2’s, non-Form 2’s, and house committee members have worked so hard for cheerleading. We’ve been preparing for this huge event since October, and we cannot believe that it's happening tomorrow. You might not see it every day, but our cheerleaders have been working incredibly hard, whether during tutor time, lunch time, or after school. Practicing the same moves over and over to get them perfect. They’ve pushed through so much and built up so much strength and spirit. We are so proud of their dedication, and we can't wait to finally see it all pay off in their performance tomorrow. I also want to give a huge thank you to all non-Form 2 students and house committee members who have been guiding our team, helping, and contributing to cheerleading. You’ve been there to support the house committees. We really appreciate that. Your commitment has played a crucial role in making this performance happen. Thank you for your dedication and for helping to build such a strong, united team. I would also like to thank all Form 2 House Tutors. Thank you for being so supportive and understanding while the students practiced for cheerleading. We really appreciate your assistance.
Henri: As we prepare for our own competitions, let us reflect on an event that has just wrapped up—the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China. The National Games gave us incredible, inspiring moments. We saw world-class athletes, Olympians, and record holders compete, and their stories are a reminder of what true effort looks like. Many athletes, including veterans like the 'Flying Man' sprinter Su Bingtian and shot-put champion Gong Lijiao, used the National Games as their final, dignified stage. They competed not just for a medal, but to close their careers with pride, passion, and persistence. This is the spirit we need for our Sports Day. Whether you're running the 100-meter race or competing in a relay, it’s about putting in your fullest effort, even if it's only 25 minutes of preparation. That commitment, the feeling of giving your absolute best, is the true gold medal.
Janice: So, let’s make tomorrow a day to remember—a day of speed, strength, and spirit!
Henri: Whether you’re an athlete, a cheerleader, or a supporter in the spectator stands—this is your moment. Cheer as loud as you can and give your very best. To every house, BA, BO, CA, DE, JA, and JU, let’s compete with heart, respect, and pride.
Together: Good luck to everyone, and see you all tomorrow. This is the end of our sharing, thank you.
