Form 6 Graduation Ceremony 2022

Graduation Marks Milestone for Form 6 Students on Their Academic Journey

In recognition of their significant academic achievement, Form 6 students marked the culmination of their studies at the graduation ceremony that took place at Creative Secondary School on Thursday, 2 June 2022. At the same time, due to pandemic restrictions, the live stream of the graduation ceremony allowed students, teachers, relatives and friends who were unable to join to watch it online, give their best wishes to the graduates and witness their most important moment.

Seeing the students celebrating this milestone together was even more joyous considering the disruption brought to our lives by the pandemic over the past two academic years.

As our From 6 graduating class ends one chapter of their learning, they can look ahead to the beginning of a new adventure. This is a time of great change for our graduating class, but also one to unite and celebrate the hard work and good times that have brought them to this point in their academic journeys.

The Principal, Dr. Anthony Adames, said the events across the students’ schooling had shaped their values and resilience to face challenges. They had learned the valuable lessons of taking ownership for decisions and keeping their word. He also advised our Form 6 graduates to adopt responsibility, put family together and serve the community and be more resilient and responsible through the journey of life.

We also had an inspiring and relevant speech from our School Supervisor, Mr.Victor Fong. He provided our graduates with some sage advice:

“After leaving this school, what we hope you will remember from this recent experience is that positivity. Perseverance and confidence in yourself can win over most difficulties. In fact, one of the core objectives of Creative Secondary School is to build confidence and the positive character in our students, preparing you to meet challenges and embrace new opportunities in your future.”

Our guest of honour for the ceremony was Mr. Vivek Mahbubani, the best known as Hong Kong’s top English and Cantonese stand-up comedian. Mr. Vivek Mahbubani is a familiar face to CSS staff and students. He previously came to CSS to perform a comedy set for Form 5 students and conducted workshops for them each year. He encouraged students to be bold, stay positive, and take on challenges at all times.

During the conferral of the certificates, we heard about our graduates’ successes and where the next stage of their journey will take place. We were then treated to a performance by our graduate, Michelle Jiang and a photo slideshow which summed up their experiences over the last six years at CSS! There were many tears and laughter at the end as students said goodbye to teachers and had their last photographs taken.

Everyone at CSS joins together to wish them every success in the next chapter of their lives!
