CSS celebrates the outstanding achievement of Form 1 student Arcee Zhang, who has won the Championship in the Junior Secondary Division of the 7th "Charm of Jiangsu" Youth Chinese Painting Competition organised by the Hong Kong Jiangsu Associations and Hong Kong Jiangsu Youth Association. Themed "Imagining Future Jiangsu with Technology," the competition encouraged young artists to blend traditional Chinese cultural elements with innovative technological concepts.

Arcee's artwork Sheng Sheng Man: Copper Platform and Powdered Ink captures this vision through two theatrical figures on horseback, one representing the legendary Hua Mulan in traditional opera costume, the other an AI warrior in koi-inspired armour. Paying homage to master artist Xu Beihong while exploring the relationship between humanity and technology, the work reminds us that even in an age of technological advancement, humans remain at the heart of artistic creation.

CSS takes great pride in Arcee and her work. Her piece demonstrates exceptional artistic skill and a creative vision that connects the past with the future. Through her brush, we witness a young generation preserving, exploring, and renewing the beauty of Chinese traditions.
